Philosophy

Our philosophy of building mentoring relationships with children is to partner in the process of helping them reach their dreams. It is our belief that the best method for obtaining this objective is by teaching children to help other children.  Our team is compiled of kids of all ages.  The coaches work primarily with the older, more advanced, team members on style and technique.  We then supervise the advanced members to teach the younger members the basics of technique and safety.  As a team we incorporate essential life skills and learn the importance of cooperative teamwork.

Power of Partnering

We have all heard the old adage that every great man has a great woman behind him pushing. Taking this old adage as an example, the great women, the partner in the process of greatness, supplies encouragement, reinforcement, and support when needed., never limiting the breadth of his dreams, rather redirecting, renewing passion through her support and beside him through the ups and downs of his journey to greatness.
It is this same sort of partnering, when between coaches, athletes and team members, that fosters mentoring relationships. In our experience, it is these relationships that capture the essence of our underlying philosophy of being your best while helping others to be their best. Once these mentoring/partnering relationships are established, they often become a bridge that allows content to be more engaging and allows for greater depth and personal growth. Furthermore, the skills and trust built from these mentoring/partnering relationships provides a platform for depth into content versus coverage, as well as true understanding rather than recall.

Depth v. Coverage

Our philosophy centers on trust and communication through the relationships with our team. These relationships empower rather than limit, create trust and understanding, while also extending the realm of instruction outside the box of both physical and emotional growth. This not only influences depth, but also influences interpersonal skills necessary to be a success in life.
